Ms. Betty Jane Tucker passed away at her residence Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the age of 89. Betty was born March 27, 1936 in Dekalb County, Alabama. Her parents were Mark Calvin Tucker and Vera Doris Hawk Tucker. She was married to Claude Johnson who previously passed away. Betty has been a resident of Arab for many years. She enjoyed listening to country music her true love was her family. Her heart and soul revolved around her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and many extended family members. She loved them with all she had and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. She loved spending time with all the friends she had made over the course of her long life.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Mark Calvin Tucker and Vera Doris Hawk Tucker; husband, Claude Johnson; her grandchildren; Skylar Dale Morton, Tony Mack Blankenship, Marsha Brown, Jamie Morton and Nathan Lee Morton.
Family members cherishing their precious memories of Betty include her daughters, Margaret (Bill) Eddie, Myrtle (George) Wilbert; her sons, Calvin (Annette) Johnson, Donald (Betty) Roden, Tony (Joann) Morton, Nathan Morton and Dale Morton; her grandchildren, Michael Rogers, Kai Rogers, Dale Ray Morton, Jamas Wilbert, Jason Thomas, Sr., Marcus Johnson, Dylan Morton, Cheston Morton; 10 great grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren; her sisters, Susie (Raymond) Hayes, Wanda McGatha and a special friend Juantia Thrower.
The family has chosen cremation with a private burial in Roswell Creek Cemetery. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel entrusted with arrangements.
