Betty J. Burleson, 83, Sheffield, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Visitation will be Sunday, January 28, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Ralton McCarley officiating. Interment will be in Duncan Creek Cemetery, Russellville.
Betty was a native of Colbert County and a member of The Shepherd’s Chapel. She was a kind, humble, and gentle person who loved God and her family. Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Burleson; the father of her children, Archie Ray Moore; son, Kenneth Dale Moore; daughter, Jewell Lynn Moore; parents, Salem and Donnie Williams; and brothers, Gene, Doyle and Billy Ray Williams.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Wanda Moore Muston (Jeff); daughter-in-law, Heather Kiene; stepdaughter, Loretta Sikes (Clint); brother, Donald L. Williams; sisters, Angie Ayers, Shirley Mirkle, and Juanita Gean; grandchildren, Jason E. Borden (Katrina), Josh West (Beth), Justin Dale Moore (Regina), and Danielle Moore; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
