Betty Brasher Allen, 84, of Florence, passed away July 9, 2016 at her residence. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Florence.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 10-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Allen, Sr.; parents, Sherman and Audrey Brasher; brother, Ted Brasher; niece, Karen Brasher; and a nephew, Randy Brasher.
She is survived by her son, James R. Allen, Jr. of Sheffield; daughter, Cindy Allen Barber and husband Tony of Somerville, AL; brother, Larry Brasher and wife Sara of Warrior, AL; grandchildren, Sam Barber of Burleson, TX, Claire Barber of Somerville, AL; and a great-grandchild, Rosie Barber of Somerville, AL.
