Betty Ann Coons Malone Davis, 92, of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, passed away peacefully and entered the gates of Heaven on October 7, 2026. The service will be on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Washington Park Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. at the church. Officiating the service will be Pastor Daniel Dulaney. The burial will be at Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Betty was a devoted Christian, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her life was a testimony to her faith in Jesus Christ and her love for her family. She was loved by all who met her and known to many as “Nanny”.
She was born on July 20, 1934, to the late Dewey McKinley Coons and Frances Highfield Coons. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Martha Williams and Jack “Buddy” Coons. She was married to Don Eston Malone from 1953 until his passing in 2002. She later married Walter Turner Davis, and they were together from 2008 until his passing in 2021.
Betty’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her daughter and only child, Deborah Badgett (Johnny); grandchildren, Jennifer Kilpatrick (Kevin), Jeff Steen (Megan), Kasey Johnson (Adam), and Kelli Badgett; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Allie, Kyndal, Logan, Landri, Ella, Cohen, Audrey, and Spencer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a special family friend, Judi Fike.
Those who knew Betty will remember her for her love of family, her caring heart and infectious laugh. She treasured the time spent with her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and took great joy in watching her family grow. The love she gave so freely will continue through the generations she leaves behind.
Although her family will deeply miss her, they find comfort in knowing that Betty is now at home with her Lord and Savior. Her earthly journey is complete, and she has received the promise of eternal life.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
— 2 Timothy 4:7
