Bert Edmundson,65 of Smyrna, Georgia died September 21,2015 at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, R. B. Edmundson, He is survived by his mother, Sarah V. Edmundson. Other survivors include: Anna Edmundson McLemore, sister; Agnes V. Wiedemeyer, aunt ; several nieces and nephews.
Bert was born in Florence, Alabama and resided there until he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Upon discharge he graduated Cum Laude from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa where he received a degree in psychology. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He then obtained an MBA from Emory University where he received the top student management award. His career spanned thirty years in the banking industry. Bert loved Alabama football, music, and tennis.
