Bernice “Betty” Page Hardcastle, age 98, of Killen, passed away Jan. 13, 2017. Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 16, from 1-2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery.
Betty was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Florence and was a teacher with the Sheffield City School system. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Hardcastle Jr.
She is survived by her son, Lewis Hardcastle III, and wife, Sandy; grandchildren, Laura Treese and husband, Scott, and David Hardcastle and wife, April Kay; great-grandchildren, Paige Treese, Parker Hardcastle, and Kayla Hardcastle.
The family would like to express their appreciation to her caregiver, Charlena Decatur, and Gentiva Hospice nurses, Wendy and Joloyce and aide, Lakin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
