Bennett Davis passed away on December 25, 2024 at age 74. The Funeral Service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Brother Jim Ramsey, Carl Jones, and Pastor Tommy Echols will officiate. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery will follow the service with friends and family serving as Pallbearers. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from noon until the service at 1 p.m.
Orville Bennett Davis was born in Selma AL to Ernestine Bonner Slade Davis and O.H. Davis. He worked as an Engineer in manufacturing. He enjoyed gardening and was able to use his engineering skills to encourage the best fruits on his muscadine vines as well as pear and peach trees. He collected oil cans, arrowheads, and stamps.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife 21 years, Sherrie Brown Davis; sons: J.B. (Elise) Davis and Josh (Mindy) Davis; grandchildren: Tristan Davis, Katelyn Davis, Jackson Davis, Mia Davis, and Ellie Davis; and siblings: Carl (Gail) Davis, Carolyn (David) Gleason, and Jimmy (Laurie) Davis. He is preceded in death by his parents O.H. and Tootie Davis, and brother Haywood Davis.
