Barry Wayne Wilson
August 7, 1950 – September 30, 2019
Barry was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He shared a special bond with his great-granddaughter, Aleigha. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, gardening and riding his tractor were how he enjoyed filling his days. Barry worked at Bellsouth as Construction Superintendent for 33 years. He was a lifelong member of Antioch Church of Christ. Barry is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Elene Wilson; wife, Calen Hicks Wilson and his brother, Michael Wilson. He is survived by his son, Kerry (Heather) Wilson; daughter, Jinger (Michael) Blackmon; brother; Steve (Brenda) Wilson; sisters, Carla (Darryl) Tavel and Connie (Tim) Shadix; sister-in-law, Gretchen Wilson; grandchildren, Justin Wilson, Tyler Nelson, Alayna (Corey) Smith, Kassie Blackmon, Blade Blackmon, Cody Williams, Kayla (Harrison) Kahrig and Drew Wilson; great-grandchildren, Aleigh Wilson, Conner Smith; sister-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral service Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Church of Christ Cemetery in Warrior.
