Barry Wayne Michael, age 62, of Lester, passed away July 20, 2023, at his residence after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Michael was born December 13, 1960, in Lauderdale Co., AL, to William “Leo” Michael and Florine Lawrence Michael.
The memorial service will be held on July 29, 2023, the place and time to be determined later.
Mr. Michael is the previous co-owner of Athens Aluminum Company. He is preceded in death by his father William “Leo” Michael and his mother Florine Lawrence Michael.
He is survived by his two children Brandy Gatlin Keene, her husband Christopher, and Terran Brooke Michael; his four siblings Eddie Michael and wife Amy, Robert Michael and wife Patsy, Gwenda Michael Pepper, and Randy Michael; and his three grandchildren Abby, Alex, and Andrew; along with an abundance of nieces and nephews.
