It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barney J. Crow, age 67, on March 10th, 2025. He was surrounded by his family and passed peacefully at his home. Barney was born April 25th, 1957, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was married to Donna Kay Amos on September 20th, 1988.
Barney was a skilled journeyman electrician. He was a trusted friend and mentor to many, always willing to lend a hand or share his knowledge. His work ethic and dedication to the craft made him a respected member of McLeod Electric Company for the better part of 40 years.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Donna Crow; three children, Amanda Howard (Nathan), Matthew Crow (Randi Lynn), Edward Crow (Morgan). Grandchildren include, Eli Czermak, Blakelee Kilgore, Kaydence Crow, Kathryn Crow and Ethan Crow; brothers, Ronald Crow and Donald Crow.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Violet Marie Crow, and father, Ralph Crow; sisters, Theresa Crumpton and Tina Hurst; and brother, Ted Crow.
The family would like to thank the staff at SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice, especially Brianna and Misty. The kindness and dedication were a tremendous comfort to our family, and we will always be grateful for the exceptional care during Barney’s final days.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, March 14th, 2025 at Cremation Services of East Alabama. The family invites all who knew Barney to join them in celebrating his life. Join us for food and refreshments that will be provided following the service.
