Barbara Louise Davis, “Bunk”, of Warrior, age 77, died peacefully on November 4, 2013, following a stroke. She was gifted at cooking and sewing, and she loved making family and friends laugh with her quick-witted sense of humor. Barbara was born at the family farm in Hamilton on February 27, 1936, the second of three children of Wavie and Tom Swindle. Barbara married John Roy Davis in Tupelo, MS, on May 2, 1953. After raising two children, Barbara returned to school and earned her RN from Wallace State Community College at the age of 50. She worked as a nurse at Bradford Health Services before retiring from Alacare Home Health. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Wavie Swindle. She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, John Roy Davis; son, Randel Davis, his wife, Sue ( Morris Al.); daughter, Cynthia Davis Holcomb, husband, Wayne (Warrior Al.); grandchild, Apryl Davis; siblings, Jean Palmer & Howard Swindle (Hamilton); host of nieces, nephew & friends.
