Barbara Jewel Allred Kidd departed this life for her eternal home in heaven on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended battle with cancer. She was 76. Born on April 21, l947 in Itawamba Count to the late William and Eva Broughman Allred, Barbara was raised in Tupelo graduating from Tupelo High School in l965. She went to cosmetology school and electrolysis school and opened her own business, “Perfect Skin by Barbara” where she worked for 38 years. Barbara was a hard worker, but she worked to be able to”give more” instead of “get more”. She was a giver who never expected anything in return. Barbara was a devoted Christian woman who focused her life on her family and God. If she was not working, she was doing something for her family, church or spending time with her grandchildren. She blessed the lives of so many children by teaching Sunday School for over 50 years at Cedar Grove Pentecostal Church. She was the epitome of a virtuous Proverbs 31 woman; a hard worker, a giver, a provider for her family and she was “clothed with strength and dignity”. Barbara was tough, a fighter and she finished this life well. No doubt, she has already heard the words of her Savior-“Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant”.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 3 PM Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Cedar Grove Pentecostal Church with her longtime pastor and friend, Bro. Danny Robbins officiating assisted by Bro. Terry Lee. Private entombment will be in the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 PM-7PM Saturday at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo and from 2 PM –service time on Sunday at Cedar Grove Church. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving their friends.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Mike Kidd and John Kidd and their dad, Robert Kidd; grandchildren, Audrey and Zack Kidd and a host of great grandchildren; two brothers, Tim Allred and Larry Allred and a sister, Delaine Allred and their families.

Pallbearers will be Chris Cobb, Scott Cobb, Cecil Payne, Dale Fikes, Marshall Jenkins and Mark Hughes.

Memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Pentecostal Church, 1324 CR 811, Saltillo, MS. 38866.
