Barbara J. Wiginton, age 72, went home to dwell with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. She was surrounded by her family whom she loved unconditionally. Barb’s written comment: “I will go to be with my Heavenly Father who is my refuge and who has prepared my place to live forever.”

Barb was born on September 27, 1950, in South Bend, Indiana. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals, AL for many years. She retired from TVA as a Financial Manager. She loved her lifetime friends from Belmont and Golden, MS, (The Golden Girls) as well as friends from Rose Ray’s Sunday School class at Highland Park. Her comment: “I loved those Godly women.”

Visitation will be Friday, February 24, 2023, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, 825 North Main Street, Tuscumbia, AL. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jerry Ginn and Bro. Ted Vafeas officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens, 700 Highway S, Tuscumbia, AL.

Barb is survived by her husband of 46 years, David; son, Nicholas Wiginton (Amanda); daughter, Samantha Cutter (David); grandchildren, Alex Wiginton, Avery Wiginton, Meryn Wiginton, Saryn Wiginton, Luke Cutter, Tessa Cutter, and Eli Cutter; sister, Martha Page; brother, Keith James; and sister-in-law, Sherry James.

She was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Faye James; brother, Billy James; in-laws, Elton and Alene Wiginton; and brother-in-law, Danny Wiginton.

Pallbearers will be Kaleb Page, Kirby Page, Robert James, Donnie Epps, Ronnie Brown, and Jeff James. Honorary pallbearers will be AJ Brown and Gary James.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SIOD/Kruzn for a Kure Foundation, P.O. Box 2752, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661, www.kruznforakure.og, or a charity of your choice.
