Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Mrs. Barbara Glen Millsaps Speck, age 82 of Cowan . She was born on October 12th, 1937 to the late Henry Record and Edna Cunningham Millsaps in Moore County, Tennessee. She was employed as a general laborer at Garment Manufacturing and was a dedicated homemaker. As a young girl, Barbara worked on her family farm. She was a 1955 graduate of Moore County High School. She was a member of Gum Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, J.O. Speck and her brother, Baxter Millsap. She is survived by her son, Jim Speck and his wife Brandi of Cowan; two sisters, Faye Walker and husband Joe of Tullahoma and Linda Crouch and husband Parker of Tullahoma; two brothers, Joe (Ann) Millsaps and Marble Hill; grandson, Jesse Speck of Cowan; granddaughter, Brianna Atkinson of Cookeville, TN; numerous nieces and nephews and best friends, Lee and Paul Tucker of Winchester. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 6th, 2019 between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. at Watson-North Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 7th, 2019 at 3:00p.m., from the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home.
