Barbara B. Vines, 76, of Huntsville, passed away Christmas Eve. Mrs. Vines was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jane Bartlett, her son, Flint Andrew Vines, and her brother, Richard L. Bartlett, Jr.
Barbara was a 50 year member of the Huntsville Country Club, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Boys and Girls Club, and St. Vincent de Paul. She was in charge of the luminaries at the Botanical Gardens, and President of St. Joseph Investment Club. Mrs. Vines also donated blood several times a year, and was an avid golfer. She was a doting grandmother, and a loving wife and sister.
Survivors include her husband, William E. Vines; daughter, Lisa Grattan (Roland Anderson) of Guntersville; sister, Jane Dunn of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Savannah Jayne Vines of Huntsville, and Matthew Grattan of Guntersville; daughter-in-law, Mona Vines of Huntsville; nephew, Peter Phillips of Los Angeles, CA; and cousin, Jackie Vincent of Birmingham.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The funeral will immediately follow at the church with Father Joe Lubrano officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Building Fund at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
