Barbara Ann Stonecipher Chambers – Obituary

Barbara Ann Stonecipher Chambers, 77, of Tuscumbia, passed into the arms of our Heavenly Father on June 24th.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold Chambers; daughters, Stacey (Howard) Rush of Hoover and Gina (Tyler) Bolen of Overland Park, Kansas; grandchildren, Thomas (Hannah) Rush of Houston Texas, Ana-Cecilia Rush of Hoover, Zachary Bolen of Dallas, Texas and Blake Bolen of Overland Park, Kansas; brother, Leo Stonecipher Jr. (Linda); and many nieces and nephews in Muscle Shoals and Beaumont, Texas.

She is preceded in death by parents Lillie and Leo Stonecipher, and brother Gene Stonecipher. Our Nana lived a selfless life in service to her Lord and family. She loved her family with the passion and commitment moms can truly understand. She loved cooking for her family, shopping with her daughters, and doing anything with her grandchildren. She was also an avid Auburn football fan.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Rush, Zac Bolen, Blake Bolen, Sammy Richardson, Tommy Wilson, Charles Hester, Jim Holland and Johnny Neynam.

Reverend Ted Vafeas will be officiating the service. The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. with memorial service immediately following at First Baptist Church, Tuscumbia. Guests are requested to wear bright colors to celebrate our Mom’s going home and her love for color and impeccable style.

In lieu of flowers family is requesting donations to the Alzheimers Foundation of America or First Baptist Church of Tuscumbia.
