Avis “Ann” Martin, 73, of Athens , Alabama passed away July 21, 2021 at her home. She was born on February 8, 1948 in Alabama to Charles and Ellen (Young) Clem.
Avis is survived by two sons; Jason Martin and Justin Martin; daughter: Dawn Martin (Willie Bentley), seven grandchildren: Jeremy Butler, Kelsi Wray (Nick), Levi Martin, Jaylin Martin, Makarlee Martin, Kaylee Martin, Ashlyn Bentley, and one great grandchild: Marten Colby Wray.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband Billy Martin, and her brother Mark Clem.
Avis was a lifetime member of Ardmore Fire and Rescue where she served the community for many years.
The family will receive friends at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home for visitation on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held the following day at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Scottie Travis officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery .
