Augusta “Auggie” Garner Crownover, age 95 of Burns, TN passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at TriStar Horizon Medical Center. She was born January 30, 1926 in the Oak Grove Community to the late Oscar and Bobbie Garner. She was a beautiful Christian lady and a member of the Decherd Church of Christ. Auggie enjoyed singing and had taught herself to play both the piano and guitar. She loved to read her Bible and books by Nora Robins and had also enjoyed sewing in her younger years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Crownover; daughter, Marie Cathey; son, Larry Ted Crownover; grandchildren, Jodi Crownover, Spencer Crownover and Austin Royce Crownover; and six siblings. She is survived by her son, Lawrence “Larry” (Joyce) Crownover of Burns, TN; grandchildren, Jada (Terry) Garrison of Winchester, Chris (Sandra) Boesch of Phoenix, AZ, Mark (Jennifer) Boesch of Estill Springs, Brian Boesch of Nashville, Lance Crownover of Nashville and Ashley Crownover of Burns, TN; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
