VINA-On Saturday, August 25 Alabama Law Enforcement report an accident involving an ATV in Franklin County.
Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver was notified of the accident around 3:15 PM on Saturday.
It was reported two children a boy, 8 and a girl, 4 were killed when the 4-wheeler they were riding overturned on Mill Creek Road just off of Alabama 19 near Vina.
The children were pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin County coroner. The driver of the vehicle, a woman, 47 was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation Names have not been released pending notification of next-of-kin.
