ATHENS – Saturday was the day for the annual Veterans Day Parade that meandered through the downtown streets of this patriotic city. The usual characters were there: Marching Bands; Custom-made (homemade) Floats; Children; American Flags; P.O.W. Banners; Horses; and the Honored United States Military Veterans.
