ATHENS-Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson issued 
a statement regarding a robbery on Monday, February 6. The chief has released photos of the robbery. If anyone knows this suspect or might have information on the whereabouts of this person please contact the Athens Police at 256-233-8700.
“Last night about 6:15 the police department was notified of a robbery at Dairy Queen on US 72 East. When officers arrived the clerk said a white male wearing all black came into the store and ask her for all the money. After she gave him the money he told everyone to lay down behind the counter. A customer saw an orange or red sedan backed up close to the building that left after the robbery. I have attached a photo investigators were able to obtain from the security system. There were no injuries.”
