Athalee Powers Goodin age 90 of Athens, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Athens Rehab and Sr. Care. Mrs. Goodin was born February 22, 1925 in Limestone County, AL to Robert Mahlon Powers and Mary Mahaley Reeves Powers.
Services will be Sunday, March 8, 2015 3:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bob Watson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Goodin was a member of New Hope Church of Christ, and retired from Athens Lingerie.
Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Powers; husband, Harvey Goodin; one daughter, Peggy Favors; sister, Lorena Baugher.
Survived by two sons, Harvey Wayne Goodin and James Anthony “Tony” Goodin and wife, Marilyn both of Athens; three daughters, Margaret Barnett, Sandra Pullum and husband, Cleabron and Irene Tarpley and husband, Kenneth all of Athens; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
