SHEFFIELD – Laquita really thinks outside-of-the-box. Seriously. She and husband Rodney are transfiguring the Downtown from a sleepy, dull little vestige of a business district into a thriving, energetic City Center. Nobody saw it coming. But here it is. And thanks to the Logan’s, Danny Hardeman and Frank Vafinis, among others; things are looking pretty rosy on Montgomery Avenue.

To make a Downtown really viable and self-sustaining, you have to have some unique reasons for folks to go there besides just having stuff for patrons to purchase. Here’s an example. This week, Zoey Belle’s has been holding a childrens’ art camp. It’s in the art studio on the building’s second floor.

Interested in having a child at art camp? There’s a new one next week. Give a call to 256 320-5117!

The Quad-Cities Daily stopped by there for a few minutes to check out all the artwork. We took a few photos to illustrate.
