April Michelle Smith, 42, of Elkmont, passed away on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026, at her residence. Mrs. Smith was born on February 2nd, 1984, in Athens, Alabama, to John and Denise (Lomax) Besherse.
April Michelle Smith, 42, of Elkmont, passed away on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026, at her residence. Mrs. Smith was born on February 2nd, 1984, in Athens, Alabama, to John and Denise (Lomax) Besherse.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Jared Smith; son, Austin Ridgeway; daughters, Maggie Clair Smith and Alivia Michelle Ridgeway; mother, Denise Besherse; grandmother Mary Alice Lomax; brother, John Besherse III (Stacey), a host of nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Blankenship and Amanda Hammel.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Besherse II; and sister-in-law, Aubrey Williams.
Visitation will be Friday February 13th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
