Annie Mae Parchman, 88, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on June 25th, 2026, at the Mississippi Care Center in Corinth, MS.

She was born August 18, 1937, to George Edward and Mary Mrytle (Kolwyck) Childress in Lenox, TN.

Ann was a devoted Christian, whose faith guided every aspect of her life. This faith was the sustaining force in her devotion to her husband, Bobby and her son, Jeff. This faith also led her through a lifetime of membership at Whitefield Assembly of God. She sustained this faith through her consistent devotion to the study of God’s Word and through fervent prayer and worship.

She worked mostly in office settings and eventually retired from the workforce permanently as an employee of Halls Income Tax Service.

Annie Mae’s God given talent was cooking. Those that had the opportunity to sit at her table for a meal, likely never forgot what dish was served and possibly even phoned her later to ask for the recipe. The gathering of different people around her dinner table created strong long-lasting FAMILY relationships with many people in her community.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Parchman and her son, Jeffery Ray Parchman. Also proceeding her are all six of her siblings, George “Jerry” Childress (Sherry), Virginia “Faye” Stafford (Bill), James “Demo” Childress, Gene Childress, Joan May (Joe), and Michael “Mike” Childress. She is survived by her Granddaughter, April Parchman of Corinth, MS. She is also survived by three great granddaughters, Tracey Ivy, Hailey McCracken, and Maggie Parchman and four great-great granddaughters, Alivia Berry, Sophie Bennett, Miley Bennett, and Taylor McCracken. Also surviving are her LOVE proclaimed grandchildren, Anthony (Rachel) and Lauren Delmonico.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help with funeral expenses. These donations can be paid directly to the Garner Funeral home.

Services: TBD
