Anna Lee Newsom was born May 5, 1928 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of the late William M. and Ollie Mae Weaver Russell.
She was united in marriage to Glen Newsom on May 19, 1949.
Mrs. Newsom was a homemaker and a member of the Cypress Tank Church Of Christ. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Mrs. Newsom departed this life on October 25, 2013 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 85 Years, 5 Months, 20 Days.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Glen Newsom of Ramer, TN; a daughter, Glenda Judd and husband Steve of Selmer, TN; a son, Keith Newsom of Mount Juliet, TN; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Newsom of Germantown, TN; seven grandchildren, Michelle Runkle, Shari Gray, Beth Eckley, Elizabeth Mitchell, Tonya Lambert, Michael Newsom, and Colton Judd; 12 Great Grandchildren, a sister, Shirley Prater and husband Charles of Atoka, TN; two brothers, Robert Russell of Bethel Springs, TN, Sherman Russell and wife Betty of Bethel Springs, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Newsom was preceded in death by a son, Roger Newsom; daughter-in-law, Barbara Hall Newsom; a sister, Helen Shelton; sister-in-law, Francine Russell; and a brother, Joe Russell.
