Ann McMillan, 82, of Decatur, Alabama passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Hospice Family Care in Madison, Alabama. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Berry officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel prior to the service.
Mrs. McMillan was born in Decatur, Alabama on April 1, 1943 to John Daniel and Jesse Kirkland. She was a devoted Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Austinville, Alabama. She worked in the Banking Industry as a Manager of Collections for many years.
Mrs. McMillan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family dearly. Her kindness and love will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.
Mrs. McMillan is lovingly remembered by her loving husband of 64 years, Darryl McMillan; two sons, Darren McMillan (Tonya), and J.D. McMillan (Mikki); seven grandchildren, Madison (Ty) Dunn, Logan (Brittene) McMillan, Haley McMillan, Katie McMillan, Austin Henderson, Tyler Dennis, and David Dennis; three great-grandchildren, Ryker Dunn, Josie Dunn, and Emily Dunn; and one special friend, Betty Carden. Although we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her loved ones in God’s embrace of eternal peace.
Mrs. McMillan was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Louise Speakman and Mary Kirkland.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to First Priority of Decatur in loving memory of Mrs. Ann McMillan.
