Ann Marie Etzkorn Duran – Obituary

EPSON MFP imageAnn Marie Etzkorn Duran began her life’s journey on January 22, 1960, in Portland, Oregon to parents, Bernard Etzkorn and Eileen Van Garven Etzkorn.  On February 17, 2014, she passed peacefully with her family by her side in Decatur, Alabama.

Her life was filled with the warmth of family and the fellowship of friends.  Her courage and hope was a reminder of the preciousness of life and love. Ann’s happy spirit was like a sweet smelling fragrance that always brought lots of laughter to those who knew her.  She enjoyed her Barbie Dolls and Nancy Drew collections.

She graduated from Albuquerque High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico.   She was a lifelong Catholic.

Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.  She is survived by: her husband, Jesse Duran, Huntsville, Alabama; mother, Eileen Etzkorn, Texarkana, Arkansas; four brothers, David Etzkorn (Letha), Hazel Green, Alabama, Paul Etzkorn (Lee Jones), Snohomish, Washington, Daniel Etzkorn (Jerri), Texarkana, Arkansas, and James “Jim” Etzkorn (Scott Dennis), Ann Arbor, Michigan; a brother in law, Richard Garcia, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and other family and friends.

Memorial service will be 11:00 am, Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church (2300 Beasley Ave NW-Huntsville, AL 35816) and Inurnment will follow in Faith Memorial Park.
