Ann Harris Hyser, 76, of Decatur passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga., following a brief illness. Ms. Hyser was born on November 18, 1937, in East Lynn, Ill., to the late Lawrence Albert Harris and Mary Bernice Smock Harris.
Survivors include her two daughters, Janet (Christopher) Harrell of Douglas, Ga., and Kim (Roger) Hoeft of Decatur; son, Greg (Joy) Hyser of the Philippines; four grandchildren, Aaron Roger (Amanda Sundberg) Hoeft, Marcus Lawrence (Amber) Hoeft, Tyler Richard Hoeft and Skyla Nicolle Hyser; one great- grandchild, Maci Marie Hoeft; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard John Harris and Robert Marshall Harris.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014, at 2:30 p.m at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 1700 Carridale Street SW, Decatur, AL. Family will receive family and friends at 2 p.m at the church. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
