Andrew “Homer” Garrison, Jr., age 72, of Double Springs, Alabama, passed away November 26, 2017. He was retired from U.S. Army National Guard, was one of founding members of Ashridge Fire Department with 33 years service and fire chief for over 20 years. He was a member of Frost Chapel Baptist Church.
Visitation is Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 6:00 -9:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home-Haleyville, Al.. Funeral service is Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Frost Chapel Baptist Church with Larry Dyar officiating. Burial to follow in adjoining church cemetery.
He is survived by his children, James (Sonya) Garrison and Annette Godsey; grandchildren, Meghan (Gabriel) Hartzog, Krystalyn (Dallas) Johnson, Danille (Rollie)Barnes, Aliesa Ayers, Andrew Garrison, Liliana Garrison and Joshua Garrison; great grandchildren, Braylon Hartzog, Lance Sherer, Emmitt Barnes and Navaeh Thrashers; sisters, Nellie Baccus and Haskell Smith; brother, J.C. Garrison; a host of family and friends
He was preceded in death by: wife, Dora Dianne Garrison; parents, Andrew and Fannie Garrison; brothers, Horace Garrison, Hardin Garrison, Loyal Garrison, Paskell Garrison and Leldon Garrison.
