Andres Vega Sanchez, 67 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, September 6th, 2020, at his residence. Mr. Vega Sanchez was born on November 10th, 1952, to Ignacio Vega and Leonila Sanchez.
Funeral services for Mr. Vega Sanchez will be held on Friday, September 11th, 2020 at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Father Jonathan officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00am-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ermila Jaimes Jimenes; daughters Martha Vega, Lidia Vega, Irma Vega, Marivel Vega, Ariana Vega, and Yuritzi Vega; sons Noe Vega and Andres Vega, Jr..
Mr. Vega Sanchez was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was of the Catholic faith. He loved playing the guitar. As a warrior, he fought against his health battles for 9 years. He always left everything in God’s hands and was always a follower of God. He was always an honest person, happy and caring. He was his family’s hero.
