Amos W. GrissomAmos Woodrow Grissom, 92, died on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital.  He was born June 8, 1932, in Lawrence County, to Clarence W. Grissom and Annie Mae Davis Grissom.

He was employed as a Delivery Driver for Nelms Packing, prior to his retirement. He loved watching Gunsmoke and wrestling, enjoyed going to the casino and just sitting on his front porch enjoying the day. He really enjoyed being with his family.

Preceding him in death were a son- Roy Grissom, his parents, brothers- Howard Grissom, James Grissom, Robert Grissom and Carl Grissom and a sister- Annie Lou White.

Survivors include:

Wife – Vicky Grissom,

Son – Matthew Grissom (Tammy),

Daughters- Brenda Jeanette Jaeger and
Douglas Ann McGriff (Roger),

Brother – Wilburn Grissom,

Eleven Grandchildren and

Nineteen Great Grandchildren
