Alvin Smith.jpg In loving memory of

Alvin Lee Scott Smith

08/11/1958 – 04/30/2026

Beloved husband, treasured brother, uncle, friend, animal lover and tinkerer. Coffee High, class of 78 grad

Alvin grew up in Florence and Killen, Alabama and spent over 30 years in the Dallas Fort Worth, Texas area before returning to his favorite Killen, Alabama. He loved being on or in the water, boating and fishing, especially the Tennessee river and the Caribbean. At one time he was a self-proclaimed excellent water skier. He enjoyed snorkeling and a few stints at scuba. He had passions for music, potluck parties, fire pits, steaks, fish, anything BBQ’d and Bourbon. Al loved history and the never-ending search for Sasquatch and the Rougarou. He is most loved for his generous spirit and affection for people and animals.

Alvin will reconnect with his predeceased loved ones: his Mama Nellie Rose Clayton Goodman; father Edgar Lee Scott; adopted parents, Flora Bell (Farley) Smith and Ralph Smith; brothers, Billy Scott Smith, William Goodman, Brian Dale (Stoney); sisters, Janice, Margaret and Myrtle Goodman and all faithful companion pets.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Christina Zevetski; brother, Dalton Scott (Patricia); sisters, Ruby Dickson (Larry), Lisa Yarbrough (David), Diane Hendrix and a village of cousins, nieces, nephews and treasured friends.

Al would hope that in his memory you will do any of the following:

– an unsolicited act of kindness – contribute to a local animal shelter (his favorite was Heart of Alabama Save Rescue & Adopt HASRA) – contribute to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (another favorite) – raise a glass, toast his memory and share a fun Al story.

A celebration of Al’s life will take place in the not too distant future.
