SHEFFIELD โ A tribute to Muscle Shoals music is set for Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the
Ritz Theatre in Sheffield. The concert will bring together nationally known performers, local
songwriters, and international talent connected to the areaโs music legacy. Doors open at 6
p.m. and the show begins at 6:30 p.m.
Headlining the event is T. Graham Brown, whose career spans more than 40 years. He is a
Grammy nominee, CMA Award-winner, and a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Brown is known
for songs such as โWine Into Water,โ โI Tell It Like It Used to Be,โ โHell and High Water,โ and
โDarlene.โ His album From Memphis to Muscle Shoals reflects the music being celebrated that
night and was recorded at Wishbone Studios. The album debuted at #1 on the iTunes Top Blues
Album Chart and in the Top 10 on the iTunes Country Albums Chart. It includes collaborations
with artists such as Bettye LaVette, Sam Moore, Delbert McClinton, Dwight Yoakam, Eddie
Floyd, Randy Houser, Tanya Tucker, Wynonna, Zach Williams, Sammy Hagar, and Little Anthony,
and has already reached more than 600,000 on-demand streams. Brown has called the
response to the album one of the high points of his career.
Billy Lawson and the Wishbone Band will also perform. Lawson is a longtime songwriter and
producer and the owner of Wishbone Studios. The band includes seasoned studio and touring
musicians tied to the areaโs recording history.
Angela Hacker and James LeBlanc will be featured in the lineup. Hacker, a winner of Nashville
Star, has continued to record and perform since her national debut. LeBlanc is a songwriter and
artist whose work has been recorded by major country acts. Both Hacker and LeBlanc have
written for FAME Recording Studios, the cornerstone of the Muscle Shoals music legacy.
International recording artist Eve Graham will make a rare U.S. appearance as part of the show.
As the original lead singer of The New Seekers, she was the voice behind several international
hits in the early 1970s, including โIโd Like to Teach the World to Sing,โ โFree to Be,โ โBeg, Steal
or Borrow,โ and โCircles.โ The group sold millions of records worldwide and represented the
United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest. โIโd Like to Teach the World to Singโ became a
global anthem after its use in Coca-Colaโs โHilltopโ commercial and remains one of the most
recognizable songs of its time. During her visit, Graham will also record at Wishbone Studios,
adding her name to the list of artists who have come to the Shoals to make music.
Her participation was made possible through Colbert County Tourismโs partnership with Lynda
Malia of Travelling Time, a Scotland-based tour company that brings multiple international
groups to Colbert County each year.
โThis is not just a concert. It is a reflection of what continues to draw people to this area,โ said
Susann Hamlin, President and CEO of Colbert County Tourism. โWhen an artist whose voice has
been heard around the world comes here to sing and record, it shows that what started in
Muscle Shoals is still influencing music today. Our sound keeps traveling, and people keep
coming.โ
The concert is part of Alabamaโs recognition of Americaโs upcoming 250th birthday and will
highlight the ongoing impact of Muscle Shoals music. The Ritz Theatre in downtown Sheffield
provides a setting tied to local history and live performance.
