Mrs. Alice Sharon Coleman “Sharon”, age 82, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully July 18, 2023. She was born on February 5, 1941, in Waukon, Iowa, a daughter of the late William and Florence Hennessey.
Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Norman Coleman, daughter, Lisa Lawshe, two sons-in-law, Francis Lawshe and Steven Buckelew, and two brothers, John Joseph Hennessey, and James Hennessey.
She was an amazing mom, grandma, and great grandma. Sharon enjoyed arts and crafts such as diamond art, crocheting, and coloring. She also loved watching a good mystery show with her loved ones.
Sharon is survived by two daughters, Lori Buckelew of Guntersville, AL and Vicki Rogerson (husband, Randy), of Nokesville, VA; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Caryn Santiago (husband, Bob) (Rayna, Ana, and Olivia), Rick Janowitz II (wife, Brianna) (Jadyn and Haize), Elizabeth Winget (Cheyenne, and Brandon), Andrew Janowitz (wife, Shelley) (Andy and Kendal), Jennifer Bliss (husband, Brandon) (Gabriel and Joseph), Ashley Blake (husband, Jeff) (Melodi and Colton), and Jessica Winget; and her sister, Shirley Henessey-Dourgarian (husband, Bob). Sharon also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Sharon’s family will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society in Sharon’s name.
