Funeral service for Alice Jean Owen Glasgow, 80, will be Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Ray Halbrooks and Rev. Jimmy Bassham officiating. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery, with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Glasgow died on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born October 7, 1935, in Morgan County to Lattie Arthur Owen and Eunice Lorene Hammond Owen. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hartselle. She was the librarian at Morgan County High School, Burleson and Crestline. She started school libraries at Crestline Elementary and Burleson Elementary. Reading was a passion in her life and she loved sharing with others. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wallace Glasgow. The Glasgow family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Summerford Nursing Home. In Lieu of flowers make memorials to: Crestline Library Fund: 600 Crestline Dr. SW or First United Methodist Church in Hartselle “Good Samaritan Fund”.

Abagale Miller, Hartselle, AL

Pallbearers will be Jerry Norwood, Gary Orr, Jamie Roden, Charles Speake, Elliotte Speake, and Joe Ed Tankersley.
