Alice Hazel Chambers
February 15, 1931 – October 14, 2026
Alice Hazel Chambers, age 95, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Alice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked as a telephone operator before working in the sewing industry for nearly 50 years. She was known for her strong work ethic, loving heart, and dedication to her family. She was also a wonderful cook who took great joy in preparing meals for her loved ones. After retiring, Alice cherished spending time with her family and enjoyed doing word search books. Alice loved Christ and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior many years ago.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Bobby Joe Chambers; her parents, Leonard Norton and Bertha Norton; her brothers, Raymond Norton, Willard Norton, and Franklin Norton; and her sisters, Louise Paseur, Doris Parker, and Stella Norton.
She is survived by her four daughters, Donna Terry (Bryan), Lisa Terry (Barry), Susan Chambers, and Pamela Chambers; and her son, Barry Norton(Terri)She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other cherished family members.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Aveanna Hospice for their wonderful care and support. Special thanks are given to her nurse, Judy Story, and her bath assistant, Kelly, for the compassion and kindness they showed Alice and her family.
Alice will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
