BOAZ-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident has taken the life of a 13-year-old and set three other teens to hospital with injuries:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, has claimed the life of an Albertville juvenile.
The 13-year-old, who was a passenger in the 2015 Nissan Altima, was fatally injured when the Nissan left the roadway, struck a tree stump, a sign post and then a fence. The teen was not using a seat belt at the time of crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan, an 18-year-old, of Albertville, was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Two additional teen passengers of the Nissan, a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old, both of Albertville, were also injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Neither of the juveniles were using a seat belt at the time of crash.
The crash occurred on Blessing Road near Arley Lacey Road, approximately two miles north of Boaz, in Marshall County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
