Alberta Johnson, 91 of Ardmore, Tennessee died on Monday, July 7, 2014, at her home.
Born Monday, September 25, 1922 in Prospect, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Larkin Gates and the late Josephine Rolin Gates. She was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. She loved gardening and flowers, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Andy Curry, and a grandson: Andy Wayne Curry.
Surviving are son, Hilliard Wayne Curry of Ardmore, TN, sisters, Louise Hogan of Ardmore, AL and Magalene Angus of Ardmore, AL, and three grandchildren: Tyrena Johnson, Ronica Smith, and Taleshia Tomlin.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Dale Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
