Agnes Dabbs Agnes Virginia Duke Dabbs was born in Henderson County on September 2, 1942, to the late Ruth and Duel Ray Duke. She passed away Tuesday in Lexington, at the age of 83. Agnes worked at Decaturville Sportswear in Decaturville for many years and the last years at Decaturville Sportswear, Lexington, Tennessee. She loved life and was a strong-willed woman. She raised two sons, Eric Wayne Dabbs, and Roger Howard Dabbs. Ms. Agnes was a great cook. She loved to make people laugh and would do anything for her sons. Ms. Agnes made sure her boys never went hungry. She loved to sit on her front porch and pass the time. She will be dearly missed.
Along with her two sons, Ms. Agnes is survived by grandson, Jordan Dabbs; new granddaughter, Amnes Dabbs; an amazing daughter-in-law, Martha Delaine Dabbs; and two great friends, Sara Hedgepath and Daisy Hays. Along with her parents, Agnes is preceded in death by her grandson, Alex Dabbs; grandparents, Luther Renfroe and Pearlie Renfroe, and Maudie Duke and Cifford Duke.
Funeral services for Ms. Dabbs are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Corinth Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. All visitation with the family will be at Pafford Funeral Home on Friday, July 10, from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM, and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
