Funeral service for Abraham P. Hudgins age 97 of Eva will be Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 3:00pm at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Heath Williams officiating with burial in the Union Hill Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hudgins, who was born February 21, 1917 in Morgan County to Lavy Hudgins and Mary Ellen Childers Hudgins, died on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Falkville Healthcare Center. He was a member of Gum Pond Primitive Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife; Elizabeth Hudgins by a daughter-in-law; Theresa Hudgins and by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by 2 sons; George Hudgins and Abraham Hudgins Jr. both of Eva and by 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
