Funeral services for Abby Robertson Hunter, age 22 of Goodwater, will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Rev. Jim Arnall and Rev. Andrew Luker officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashland City Cemetery.
Abby passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at her home. Abby was born in Birmingham and lived in Clay County for most of her life. She was a graduate of Central High School of Clay County “Class of 2013” and had worked at the Ashland McDonald’s since 2012 where she was a swing manager. Abby liked deer hunting, designing shirts with her cricket and spending time with her husband and children. Abby was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Brandon Hunter, her son, Rhylan Brice Robertson and daughter, Luna Rose Hunter, all of Goodwater; her mother, Amie Shurtz of Sylacauga; her father, Brad Robertson (Shannon) of Ashland; two sisters: Chelsea Gregg (Payton) of Savannah, GA) and Autumn Deshazo of Sylacauga; her brother, Riley Blake Robertson of Ashland; her grandparents: Brenda and Bill Totherow of Weaver; Debbie and Tim Stewart of Childersburg, Floyd and Barbara Brooks of Pell City, Joe Koch of Lineville and Brenda Koch of Ashland; one niece, Audrey Gregg of Savannah, GA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Donna Johnson of Ashland and a large extended family.
Abby was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lucille Rose Hunter and her paternal grandfather, Pete Robertson.
Pallbearers will be Eli Johnson, Andy Bryant, Blake Robertson, Payton Gregg, Case Nappier and Jo Jo Brannock.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland. Flowers will be accepted however, memorial contributions to help with funeral expenses may be made to the “Abby Hunter Memorial Fund” at any Wells Fargo Bank location or directly to Benefield Funeral Home of Ashland.
