Aaron “Blake” Russell, 20, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 unexpectedly. He was born on October 7, 1997 in Florence. Visitation will be Sunday, April 1st from 6 to 9 p.m. at Lighthouse Apostolic Church. The funeral service will be Monday, April 2nd at noon at the church with Brother Paul Holloway and Brother Jordan Holloway officiating. The burial will follow in Central Heights Community Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ralph and Yvonne Rumbaugh and Ellis and Lizzie Skipworth.
Mr. Russell is survived by his parents, Pete and Tonya Russell; brother, Dakota Russell; grandparents, Sam and Mary Wood, Paul and Martha Wood, with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Blake was a very outgoing person. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding dirt bikes and four-wheelers and also loved playing the guitar. When he was a little boy he enjoyed playing the drums. Blake never met a stranger; he loved people and had lots of friends. Blake was an avid Alabama fan. Roll Tide!!!
Pallbearers will be Matt Skipworth, Cody Holloway, Benjamin Holloway, Trevor Holloway, Steven Brown and Dakota Sledge. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Phillips, Jeff Wood, Mackenzie Odom and Jared McKrill.
