Mrs. Edna Faye Ellis, age 82, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away on May 7, 2026, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 22, 1943, to the late Barney Sorter and Mary Whitehead Burroughs.
Mrs. Ellis was a faithful member of Corinth Baptist Church and loved singing. She was known for her caring heart and sweet spirit and treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles L. Ellis; children, Renona (Buddy) McCullars, Chuck Ellis, and Wendy (Tony) Collett; six grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; along with several extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Gann.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Corinth Baptist Church with Pastor Brock McCullars officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Pallbearers will be Dustin McCullars, Austin McCullars, Colten Bottomlee, Landon Hughes, Bryson Hughes, and Cyler Stanton. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy McCullars, Tony Collett, Nick Strange, Caden Stanton, and Jimmy Bonds.
