Mrs. Lillis Maureen Henry Sanders, age 99, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026. She was born on August 15, 1926, to the late T.J. Henry and Violet Wright Henry.
Mrs. Sanders will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the many memories shared throughout her long life. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion to those she loved most.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Canfield, Vicki Leeth (Allen), and Dennis Sanders (Vicki); grandchildren, Sam Sanders (Jacob), Wesley Sanders (Alex), and Kristin Elkins (Adam); great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Leeth Mealer, Ellis Sanders, Eli Sanders, and Asher Solomon; along with several extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Curtis T. “Sam” Sanders, and her grandson, Joshua Leeth.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with Tony Holcomb officiating.
Adams Brown Service Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
