Alfreda Pearl Thorn, age 86, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at her residence.
Mrs. Thorn adored her family and spending time with them. She loved to crotchet and made many beautiful things. One of her greatest accomplishments and one that she was very proud of was helping to raise three generations of children. She loved her family.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Brenda Jones (Danny), Monica Hawkins (Charles); grandchildren, Mandy Saber, Jessica Wolfe, Brianna Stewart, Jason Jones, Jeremy Jones, Michael Fugate, Trent Fugate, Eric Fugate, Katie Patterson; 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Thorn; daughter, Carey Wolfe; parents, Elihue & Nellie (Brown) Ramsey; siblings: Bud Ramsey, Leonard Ramsey, Sissy Cole and Doris Russell.
The family visitation time with be at 11:00 a.m. and the public visitation will be 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 05, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The burial will be at Pleasant Site Cemetery in Red Bay. The pallbearers will be Jason Jones, Jeremy Jones, Michael Fugate, Trent Fugate, Konner Fugate, Dakota Jones, Eli Jones, and Brandon Patterson.
