Annie Lucille Leathers, 89, of Winfield, Ala., died Friday, June 14, in Winfield. She was born April 3, 1924, in Tishomingo County, Miss., and was the daughter of the late William Roland Flanagan and Mary Elizabeth Croslin Flanagan. She was formerly of Red Bay and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Winfield.
Services will be Tuesday, June 18, at 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home chapel, Red Bay, Ala., with Brother Sammy Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay, Ala. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her sons, Marvin Lionel Leathers (Nancy), of Winfield, Myron Lynn Leathers, of Winfield, William Cecil Leathers, of Poplarville, Miss., and Anthony Wade Leathers (Cynthia), of Winfield; six grandchildren, Marvin Lionel Leathers Jr. (Sally), Murray Taylor Leathers (Brittany), Justin Whitney Leathers (Kathy), Morgan Lacey Leathers, Abigail Denise Leathers, and Anthony Wade Leathers Jr.; four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Junior Leathers; her daughter, Lucinda Leathers; her parents; and 13 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 18, 9-11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
