Eva Massey Orick Duncan, 96, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Generations of Red Bay.  She was born in Franklin County, AL to Riley and Lily Pearl Jackson Massey.  She worked as a seamstress for many years and was a member of Pentecostal Faith Church.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 29, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Billy Nichols officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29, 1-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Glynn R. Duncan; daughter, Kathleen Townsend; granddaughters, Christy Wells and Stephanie Underwood (Scott); five great-grandchildren, Levi Wells (Tiffany), Cole Wells (Autumn), Fancee Wells (Dylan), Riley Underwood (Macall) and Grayson Underwood; five great-great grandchildren, Braxton, Victoria, Jaxon, Michael and Zachary Wells; step-children, Byron Duncan (Tammy) and Twila Graham (Glenn); step-grandchildren, Tiffany Thorne (Heath) and Casey McKinney (Clayton); step great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Joshua Thorne, Bryson Lantot and Sadie White and special nieces, Nancy Daily, Geneva Boyd and Virginia Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Noonan Orick and Carlton Johnson; son, Douglas N. Orick; parents; brother, Albert Massey (Dorothy); sister, Reva Daily (Alvin); special niece, Carolyn Holland and step-grandson, Tyler Duncan.

Pallbearers will be Scott Underwood, Riley Underwood, Grayson Underwood, Byron Duncan, Levi Wells and Cole Wells.
