Raymond “Ray” Neal Pulley was born March 30, 1945 in Lawrenceburg, TN to the union of the late Arthur Huston and Ruth Mable Eastep Pulley. Mr. Ray honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He entered the service September 21, 1962 and was stationed in Treasure Island, San Francisco, completing his term on June 10, 1966. After serving in the United States Navy, Mr. Ray took classes so that he could teach at the boy’s home, Wayne Halfway House. He was a member of the Waynesboro Masonic Lodge # 127 The John S. Cain Masonic Lodge # 259 in Houlka, MS, the VFW, the Eagles, and the American Legion. However, above those things he was a strong family man, always wanting to instill a work ethic and desire to do the right thing in his family. Mr. Ray was united in marriage to Deanna Gayle Thompson Camp on March 5, 2005. He was a Christian and member of Green River Tabernacle in Waynesboro. Mr. Pulley departed this life for his eternal reward on Monday, April 20, 2026 at his home with his family by his side, making his stay in this life some 81 years and 21 days.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Deanna Pulley; daughter, Tracy Robertson and husband Jeff; granddaughter, Mia Lorae Wright and husband Matthew; grandson, William Scott Robertson; step-daughter, Patricia Gayle Camp; step grandson, Christopher James “C.J.” Butler; step-great grandson, Wyatt James Butler all of Waynesboro, TN; He is also survived by four brothers, Arthur Pulley, Jr. of California; Jerry Pulley of Minnesota; Rickey Pulley; Richard A. Pulley both of Colorado
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, David, Ronald, Thomas “Ted”, Carl Pulley; Katherine “Sue” Cardoza as well as his step daughter, Carla Camp Butler.
Visitation with the Pulley family will be on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and again on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel with N.J. Pope and Casey Jones officiating and the Waynesboro Masonic Lodge conducting Masonic Rites. Burial will follow in Griggs Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
