Gracie Woods Dismuke, 85, of Sheffield, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Visitation will be Monday, April 20, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Stan Pruitt officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
A native of Mississippi and resident of the Shoals area, Gracie was a retired registered nurse, and a member of Hatton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayborn Woods and Leler Woods Chadwick, and a number of beloved relatives.
Gracie is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Don Dismuke; children, Sheela Lashley, Steven Dismuke (Debra), Susan Lavender (Garland), and Donna Lopez (Bobby); grandchildren, Jerry Lashley, Jennifer Grasty, Catherine Adams, Amanda Terry, Dakota Lopez, Steven Dismuke II, Martin Herring, and Abigail Clark; fourteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
